Taking the Next Step| University

Last week, our Year 12 classes had their graduation. Some of them are to continue their school-life journey and go onto Year 13; however, many are now on the search for the appropriate college or university.

We understand that this life decision is not the simplest and the choice made can really have a big influence with what career path you will have in the future and what type of lifestyle they will lead over the next few years.

Therefore, we wanted to share some tips with you to guide any of you who will be making this important decision very soon!

1. Choosing the right location

You have to consider climate, cost of living, easy access to student visas, culture and language differences.

2. Campus Life

You should see the accommodation and see if it meets your expectations and how the social life will be. Every university has their own unique culture, so it is important to see if you will fit in with your selected choice and lifestyle.

3. Feedback from others

See if you can speak with people in similar situations like you, for example look for online forums with international students and get their opinion on all of what was discussed above. It is also a good idea to check the university ranking.

Check your course and if the university accommodates this course and its content to its best ability.
