Considering that we live in a world that is constantly changing and evolving, it is important that students do their best to keep up with these changes and do their ultimate best to adapt, learn and evolve. Children who are growing up today, are faced with a rapidly changing environment which often makes it difficult and challenging to cope.
Personal development is something that we should continue to always aim for throughout our lives to be able to always bring the best version of ourselves to the table. Learning the importance of exploiting our best potential at a young age is a skill that can guide us through life; personal development never really stops if you allow yourself to grow.
Are there any tips and tricks to improve your personal development in your high-school years? Yes, there are!
Developing a sense of passion!
We cannot be good at everything and therefore it is really important that you understand what your strengths and weaknesses are. Once you are able to recognize this, it can be something that you really focus on to build your passion towards this area of expertise! Recognizing your weaknesses can also provide you with the motivation to improve yourself and involve yourself more with things you may not be so confident about.
There are so many opportunities available for youngsters to volunteer in different non-profit organizations in Qatar. Not only is volunteering something worthwhile; it is also a great way to build your personal profile which you can then use later on for university applications, internships, and other opportunities. As Aristotle, a Greek philosopher, once said, “What is the essence of life? To serve others and to do good.”
There are a few places that would definitely be worth looking into for this:
· Reach out to Asia (ROTA program)
· Al Shaqab event days
· Ajyal Youth Film Festival
· Qatar Animal Welfare Society
· Qatar Red Crescent
Disconnect from social media and use this time to read!
