Earth Hour! What You Can Do

This Saturday the 26th of March we will be celebrating Earth Hour.

What is Earth Hour?

Every year, at 8:30 pm on the last Saturday of March, people in over 190 countries unite, take action on and raise awareness of the issues facing our one home - Earth.

This movement is a catalyst for change.

So, as we all turn our lights off on Saturday evening, what shall we do?

There are many things we can do! Check out these ideas listed below:

1. Reconnect with nature and go on a night-time walk with your family or friends.

2. Spend time with your loved ones without electronic devices, take it back to more simple times and play board-games.

3. Do some outdoor sports alone whilst listening to your favourite music playlist.

4. And if you have school early the next day ... sleep early and come to school on Sunday refreshed and ready for the week ahead.

You’d be surprised with how much you can continue doing at home without the lights on!

So, before Saturday, go and pop to the shopping mall and go pick yourself up some candles so that you can light them and give yourself some old-school lighting!

We hope as many of you as possible take part. Let’s save our planet together.
